Installation and technical guidance
Design and procurement inputs
Design membrane grade, seams, flotation, ballast, perimeter details, rainwater drainage, access and wind response as a complete system. Gas-containing or chemically aggressive duties require separate assessment.
Provide the product grade or performance specification, drawings or BOQ, quantities, site location and required date. We will define supply, delivery and any agreed installation and QA/QC responsibilities in the quotation.

The agreed layout defines panel sizes, joints, perimeter restraints, penetrations and any flotation or ballast arrangement. Rainwater drainage and gas management must suit the reservoir contents and operating regime.
Installation quality records can include material identification, panel layout, joint procedures, inspections, applicable seam tests and repair records. Handover should include as-built details and the system’s operating and maintenance instructions.
Material selection for the operating conditions
Reinforced PE combines a polyethylene membrane with reinforcement. The formulation, reinforcement, thickness and manufacturing method are product-specific and should be stated in the technical submission.
Selection must account for the stored liquid, operating temperatures, UV exposure, reservoir geometry, water-level variation and required design period. Drinking-water projects also require suitable contact certification for the exact material offered.

Containment is selected around the stored liquid, ground conditions, exposure and required barrier system.
- Confirm polymer, thickness, surface finish and the actual operating temperature and chemistry.
- Review the subgrade, protection layers, anchorage, penetrations and joining method.
- Use the current supplied-grade datasheet and project acceptance criteria, with material and installation records.
Define the quality records
Specify roll and batch traceability, material acceptance, joint inspections and appropriate tests for the selected liner system.
