Geosynthetic supply and project delivery
Geosynthetics South Africa supplies and installs geosynthetic systems for mining, water, environmental and civil infrastructure projects across South Africa and Southern Africa. Our range covers geomembranes, geosynthetic clay liners, geotextiles, geogrids, geocells, drainage systems, gabions and erosion-control products.
Our Johannesburg and Cape Town operations support engineers, contractors, mines and municipalities with product specification support, procurement, fabrication, delivery and specialist installation. Project-specific QA/QC connects material traceability, installation inspections, testing and handover documentation.
Geosynthetics South Africa is the Southern African subsidiary of Geosynthetics Africa.

Support for engineers
Review product grades, performance requirements and supporting data before procurement. Request relevant technical data sheets and available manufacturer test documentation. Proposed alternatives must be reviewed against the specification and approved before supply.
Practical supply for contractors
Coordinate quantities, roll sizes, accessories, delivery access and programme requirements before dispatch. Order supply only or include installation. For smaller landscaping, drainage or DIY works, ask our team to help identify the appropriate product and quantity.
Documented installation QA/QC
Define substrate acceptance, panel layout, welding procedures, inspections and testing in the project quality plan. Geomembrane records can include trial welds, seam testing, repairs and as-built layouts, as applicable to the agreed scope. Independent third-party review can be included where required.
In-house manufacturing and regional supply
Our factories manufacture dewatering tubes, geosynthetic sand containers, welded mesh gabion baskets, pipe filter socks, PVDs (wick drains), fin drains and drainage composites. Our fabrication scope includes pipe boots, prefabricated drop-in liners, HDPE lining components and drilled PE100 HDPE drainage pipes.

Prefabricated geosynthetic articles are produced by trained and certified technicians, with applicable IAGI guidance for geomembrane fabrication and project-specific production QA/QC.

Who holds the IAGI Installer Membership?
Group IAGI Installer Member: Geosynthetics Africa holds the membership, and Geosynthetics South Africa follows the group's installation and QA/QC procedures.
Can I order materials without installation?
Yes. We quote product supply, delivery, specialist installation or a coordinated package. Send the product specification, quantity, delivery address and required date. Stock and lead times are confirmed for the selected grade and quantity.
What information do engineers receive?
Request the relevant product data sheet, available manufacturer test certificates and material traceability information. For installation, agree the inspection and test plan and handover records in the contract scope. GRI-GM13 applies to HDPE geomembrane material properties; seam testing follows the applicable project requirements and test methods.
Where do you supply and install?
We supply and install across South Africa and Southern Africa. Our Johannesburg and Cape Town operations, supported by a Durban stockist, coordinate material availability, delivery routes and installation mobilisation for each project.
Can you assess an alternative to a specified product?
We can provide product documentation for comparison against the required function, test properties and installation conditions. A similar mass, thickness or appearance does not establish equivalence. Engineer or client approval is required before a proposed alternative is supplied.
