TILTEX Channel Lining Installation

We supply and install TILTEX cementitious composite mats for channel lining and surface erosion protection. Our team prepares the substrate, places and connects the mats, completes anchorage and carries out hydration and curing for the selected system.

Where this service fits

Cementitious composite systems may be specified for channel lining, erosion protection and selected rehabilitation works. Selection must consider flow, uplift, subgrade movement, abrasion, exposure and the required barrier function.

Different cementitious products have different construction and installation requirements. A generic GCCM label does not establish equivalence.

What the installation scope can include

The agreed scope can cover product supply, delivery, prepared-surface acceptance, cutting, placement, joints, anchorage, terminations and the specified activation or hydration process. Define earthworks, temporary flow diversion, water supply and protection responsibilities.

Coordinate delivery and installation with the channel’s construction and operating programme.

Approve the grade and method

Provide channel sections, longitudinal profile, hydraulic design and transition details. Use the supplied product’s installation procedure for jointing, fixing, water demand, activation, curing and return to service.

Do not apply a single hydration rate or curing period to every cementitious composite product.

Quality records and handover

Inspect product identity and condition, formation, continuity, overlaps or joints, anchors, transitions and penetrations. Record activation or hydration and any required protection or curing checks.

The inspection plan defines acceptance, repairs and commissioning. Retain installation layout and quality records before the channel returns to service.

Match the exact supplied grade to current documentation and the approved project specification. Product availability and lead time are confirmed with the quotation.

Questions engineers and contractors ask

Can all cementitious mats use the same installation method?

No. The exact product procedure governs the jointing, activation, curing and fixing requirements.

Can you include supply and channel preparation?

State the required scope in the enquiry. The quotation identifies supplied materials, installation work and any earthworks or temporary works included.

Choose the scope you need

Supply only; manufacture or fabrication; supply and delivery; or supply with a defined installation and QA/QC scope. The quotation identifies materials, responsibilities, testing and the required handover records.
