Tiltex P Concrete in a roll Liner | GCCM Supply & Installation Africa
High-performance Geosynthetic Cementitious Composite Mat (GCCM)
Tiltex® P is a high-performance Geosynthetic Cementitious Composite Mat (GCCM) engineered for rapid concrete lining, erosion protection, and structural reinforcement applications. Supplied and installed across Africa by Geosynthetics Africa, Tiltex P delivers durable concrete performance with the speed, flexibility, and logistics efficiency of a rolled geosynthetic system.
What is GCCM?
A GCCM (Geosynthetic Cementitious Composite Mat) is a flexible composite liner consisting of cementitious material encapsulated between geotextiles. Once spread, the mat is hydrated with water to cure into a thin, durable concrete layer.
Tiltex is a needle-punched composite made of a sand-cement mixture bound between geotextile layers, forming a strong protective liner once hydrated.
Why GCCM Instead of Traditional Concrete
Traditional concrete requires batching, pumps, mixers, curing time, formwork, and labor. Tiltex eliminates these constraints.
Engineering advantages
Installs faster than poured concrete
Minimal equipment required
Lower transport costs (~2400 m² per truck)
Can be installed on steep slopes
Flexible before hydration
Durable after curing
Works even in remote mining sites
Real projects selected Tiltex instead of concrete because traditional concrete was too costly and difficult to install on slopes.
GCCM vs Conventional Concrete Lining
| Parameter | Tiltex GCCM | Cast Concrete |
|---|---|---|
| Installation speed | Very fast | Slow |
| Equipment | Light equipment | Heavy machinery |
| Logistics | Rolled product | Bulk material |
| Slope installation | Easy | Difficult |
| Transport cost | Low | High |
| Labor | Minimal | High |
| Weather sensitivity | Low | High |
African Engineering Applications
Tiltex systems are used globally across infrastructure, mining, water engineering, and civil construction sectors.
