Scope: Lining of 3 Wastewater Ponds + Restoration of 3 Steel Tanks
Project Overview
The Bojanala Platinum District Municipality expanded wastewater treatment capacity by constructing three new process ponds. Geosynthetics Africa was appointed as the sole specialist liner contractor to execute the full containment system — from subgrade inspection to welding, QA/QC testing and final handover.
The new ponds required a durable, fully compliant barrier system to protect groundwater and ensure long-term environmental safety. In addition, three existing corrugated steel tanks required internal rehabilitation and sealing using EPDM lining.

✔ 2:1 slope welding and secure anchor trench termination

✔ Restoration of 3 corrugated steel tanks using EPDM Buffel Liner
✔ Aluminium batten strips + neoprene gaskets for secure perimeter sealing
