Our Industry Standard SoilLock™ Range
-
Straw SoilLock 300 → short-term erosion control
-
Jute SoilLock 292 → natural light-duty blanket
-
Coir SoilLock 350 → standard engineered coir solution (core product)
-
Coir SoilLock 450 → heavy-duty solution
Installation Guidance
Install over prepared and seeded soil. Lay in direction of water flow with proper overlaps and anchoring. Use crest and toe anchor trenches on slopes. Pin spacing must be designed based on slope and soil conditions.
Engineering Note
Coir SoilLock 350 is ideal where vegetation is the primary long-term stabilisation mechanism, and temporary surface protection is required during establishment.
Supply, delivery and installation across Africa
Geosynthetics South Africa undertakes projects through three service options:
- Supply only - products supplied to the agreed specification.
- Supply and delivery - materials and logistics coordinated to your project site.
- Supply, delivery and QA/QC-controlled installation - one coordinated scope from procurement to documented handover.
For projects across Africa, we coordinate with the Geosynthetics Africa Group to mobilise installation crews from group companies across the continent. Materials, delivery, mobilisation and project-specific quality records are agreed as part of the project scope.

Supply, delivery & installation
South African supply
We are the South African supplier of SoilLock erosion-control blankets. We have ready stock of standard grades and formats for South African projects.
Delivery & cross-border supply
We supply SoilLock erosion-control blankets across South Africa and Southern Africa, including cross-border delivery. We coordinate site access, unloading and cross-border documentation for your order.
How we install
We install SoilLock erosion-control blankets. Grade the slope, remove stones and prepare topsoil and seed where specified. Anchor the blanket at the crest and roll it down the slope in full ground contact. Form the required shingled overlaps, pin the blanket and inspect edges, trenches and fixings.
Specialist installation supported by Geosynthetics Africa (Pty) Ltd, an IAGI Installer Member.

SELECTION · SPECIFICATION · PROJECT SUPPLY
Choose the right specification
Match the erosion or confinement system to slope geometry, soil, water exposure, loading and the intended finish.
- Identify whether the duty is surface erosion, cellular confinement or a cementitious lining.
- Confirm the exact product, substrate, anchorage, infill and joint or overlap details.
- Use the product procedure and engineered layout rather than transferring fixing rules between systems.
Define the quality records
Inspect product identity, prepared ground, fixing and continuity, then record infill or activation and any specified acceptance checks.
For a useful quotation: send the grade or performance specification, quantity, location, required date and scope. Availability, delivery and installation responsibilities are confirmed in the quotation.
