The FlowTex™ Coastal Protection (CP) 105 Geobag is a mega‑format woven high‑flow geotextile sand container for extreme coastal protection projects across Africa and South Africa. Constructed from PolyTape105 woven polypropylene, it achieves 105 kN/m tensile strength to resist heavy wave climates and strong currents. With an approximate filled mass of 4000kg, CP 105 enables armor layers that rival rock solutions while offering faster installation and reduced transport burden.
The high‑flow woven fabric passes water while retaining soil, limiting uplift and internal erosion in revetments, groynes, breakwaters, and scour aprons. Units are delivered flat and filled with local sand, then placed in staggered courses using standard plant. For peak robustness, CP 105 can be combined with rock or precast elements to form hybrid systems tuned to site hydraulics.
