MIRAGRID® geogrids are engineered soil reinforcement materials used to improve ground stability, increase bearing capacity and control deformation in civil and geotechnical structures. They are commonly specified for retaining walls, slopes, road bases, embankments and working platforms where soil alone cannot safely support structural loads.

MIRAGRID® GX is a uniaxial reinforcement geogrid designed primarily for retaining walls and steep slopes where strength is required in one direction.
MIRAGRID® PEC is a biaxial composite geogrid with a bonded geotextile backing, used mainly for subgrade stabilisation and load distribution in roads, platforms and foundations.

Geogrids improve soil performance by interlocking with surrounding fill material, increasing shear resistance and distributing loads more evenly. This reduces settlement, prevents rutting and increases the structural capacity of the soil mass. Reinforcement also allows weaker soils to be used safely, reducing excavation and imported fill requirements.

MIRAGRID® geogrids should be specified when:

• subgrade is weak or compressible

• settlement must be controlled

• walls or slopes require reinforcement

• heavy loads will be applied

• aggregate thickness must be reduced

• long-term stability is critical

They are especially valuable on infrastructure, mining and civil engineering projects where foundation conditions are variable or challenging.
